Princeton Boychoir

Princeton Boychoir develops boys into confident young men of character, through inspired training in singing, music education, and leadership, who share their musical excellence within the community and beyond.

Launched in Fall 2017, Princeton Boychoir is comprised of boys in 3rd through 12th grade, placed by audition in one of our three ensembles:

  • Apprentice Choir - a beginning level choir of unchanged voices
  • Treble Choir - an advanced intermediate level choir of unchanged voices
  • Young Men's Ensemble - an advanced choir of changed male voices

The Treble Choir and Young Men's Ensemble often combine to sing SATB literature as well.

Singers are placed by ability, matching each boy with the choir that best suits his vocal, artistic, and musicianship level through an audition with the artistic staff. Other considerations are maturity, self-discipline, consistency of focus, attitude and leadership.

The Princeton Boychoir season begins in September and continues through May. During the 2018-2019 season, the Apprentice Choir will meet on Wednesday evenings, while the Treble Choir and Young Men’s Ensemble meet on Thursdays. On occasion, the rehearsal times are adjusted to create more overlap and allow for large group collaboration between all the choirs.

All of PBC’s rehearsals take place at the brand new Westrick Music Academy, located at 231 Clarksville Road in Princeton Junction, close to shopping, transportation, and various other amenities.
