Princeton Boychoir Auditions

At this time, auditions are closed for Fall semester of Princeton Boychoir. We will have a short enrollment period open again in January 2018. If you wish to be included on the interest list, please email us or call (609) 688-1888.

What to Expect in Your Audition

Any boy in grades 4-12 during the 2017-2018 season is warmly welcomed. Auditions will take place at Princeton Day School (650 Great Road, Princeton) and an altermate location in Princeton. Please check the audition schedule closely to confirm the location. We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled audition time. The audition will last approximately 10 minutes.

During this time, the directors will ask the singer questions to get to know them. You do not need to prepare any music for this audition. You will be asked to sing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and a major scale, then the directors will check your vocal range and ability to match musical patterns. Finally, you will be asked to sight-read a brief musical passage based on your ability level.

Relax and have a good time! We’re singers too, and we know how nervous you feel. It’ll be okay, we promise.
