Ensemble

The PGC Ensemble is the most selective choir within the Princeton Girlchoir organization, and maintains the most active performing schedule. Membership is by invitation, and is drawn from both the Concert Choir and the Cantores. The Ensemble appears in professional venues and community collaborations throughout the season, featuring chamber music both from the traditional canon and from contemporary composers, as well as music drawn from a wide range of styles and world cultures.

Recent appearances have included the Governor’s Holiday Open House at Drumthwacket, the Present Day Club, and the Westminster Invitational Choral Festival. The Ensemble has also hosted visiting choirs, performed on the Princeton Public Library concert series, and even sung for the wedding of one of our PGC alumnae!

Time commitment for the PGC Ensemble:

• 1.75 hour weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays
• winter and spring concerts
• some 5-15 additional performances as scheduled

The PGC Ensemble is directed this year by Artistic Director Lynnel Joy Jenkins.
