Princeton Boychoir Auditions

We have concluded regularly scheduled auditions for the 2018-2019 season. We will be holding more auditions later in the summer if space allows. If you would like to sign your chorister up for our audition wait list, please contact us at auditions@PrincetonBoychoir.org or (609) 688-1888.

What to Expect in Your Audition

Any boy in grades 3-12 during the 2017-2018 season is warmly welcomed. Auditions will take place at Westrick Music Academy, 231 Clarksville Rd., Princeton Junction, NJ 08550. We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled audition time. The audition will last approximately 10 minutes.

During this time, the directors will ask the singer questions to get to know them. You do not need to prepare any music for this audition. You will be asked to sing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and a major scale, then the directors will check your vocal range and ability to match musical patterns. Finally, you will be asked to sight-read a brief musical passage based on your ability level.

Relax and have a good time! We’re singers too, and we know how nervous you feel. It’ll be okay, we promise.
